CaRPG

CaRPG is a hybrid Racing and JRPG game combining the high speed action of racing with a more laid back, tactical turn based combat system. The player is given access to a set of parts allowing them to change their cars exhaust, tires, chassis and engine. Doing this not only changes the stats of the car in terms of max speed and acceleration, but also what moves they can use in the turn based combat.

This project was created for Grads in Games Search for a Star 2024 as apart of the design category.

Controls

WASD to drive
SPACE to brake while driving
W and S to move through menus
Space to select in Menus

The game will automatically restart after 3 laps if you just want to race witout enemy vehicles press P to delete all enemy vehicles and if you want to just race with vehicles ignoring the JRPG elements pressing J disables those from happening.
